Hi! I am Divya Ravi...

I am a Product and UX designer with a Master of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts from the University of Sydney.

I am also an accredited architect with a Bachelor in Architecture from India.

I have been interested in using some of the design skills I accumulated through my undergraduate course to explore UI/UX design for IT systems. To broaden my UX knowledge, I worked on 7 Google courses, part of the Google UX Design Professional Certificate on Coursera.

This website is my attempt to understand HTML and Bootstrap and explore my fascination with UI/UX. My exposure to the fundamentals of IT system design and development includes programming in Java, JavaScript, and knowledge of Object-Oriented Design.

During my work as an architect, I have worked on sustainability, interior design, graphic design, and parametric architecture.

The course provided an introduction to the principles of human-centered design for products and services, emphasizing interactive technologies and experiences. We learnt to develop a creative and critical mindset while engaging in research-driven interaction design and user experience methodologies.

Through my 5 years of coursework, I learned several architectural design principles. Listing some of the core areas:

Higher Secondary Education

2015 - 2017

Central Board of Secondary Education, Vidyaniketan School, Bangalore

During my Higher secondary education, I chose Computer Science in addition to the core fundamental subjects of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. I learned the basic principles of Object-oriented design through C++ programming language. I passed scoring A2 grade, the highest in my school in Computer Science.

2008 - 2015

Rishi Valley School - KFI, Chitoor

I was fortunate to have spent 7 years of schooling at the Rishi Valley School - Krishnamurti Foundation, India. The principles of the school are based on the vision of the famous philosopher J. Krishnamurti. As art forms an integral part of the curriculum, I had the opportunity to paint, sculpt, and learn the techniques of dyeing, printing weaving, and embroidery.

This interactive P5.js simulation explores fish flocking behavior through "boids" that respond to user clicks - green areas attract and spawn new fish while red areas trigger avoidance.
The project demonstrates how complex emergent patterns arise from simple individual rules in nature.

V R E C Y C L I N G
This immersive group project makes environmental education engaging through hands-on virtual interaction with Australian recycling guidelines.
VRecycling is an interactive Unity VR application that teaches proper recycling practices in Australia by allowing users to sort waste items into correct bins with immediate feedback on their choices.

C H E S S   G A M E
This Java assignment involved creating a 14x14 chess variant using Processing library, featuring traditional and unique pieces (Archbishop, Amazon, Camel) with smooth animations, AI opponent, and complete gameplay mechanics including check/checkmate detection.
